  26.     As I've worked more and more with 2.67b (drat!) I've been
  27. thinking about the color requestor.
  28.  
  29.     It seems too deep to me.  Specifically, I feel the texture
  30. requestor should be appended to the color requestor, but ghosted
  31. until activated.
  32.  
  33.     This would accomplish a couple of interface goals:
  34.  
  35.     1) It would establish a visual connection between the
  36.        surface color and those textures that use the surface
  37.        color as a component, e.g. the checkerboard, dots, and
  38.        marble textures.
  39.  
  40.     2) Combination would allow those dual color textures (again,
  41.        the checkerboard) to display their two colors right
  42.        next to each other, for ease of comparison by the
  43.        animator.  This would eliminate the frequent need, in
  44.        my experience, to flip back to the color requestor to
  45.        read the RGB values again.
  46.  
  47.     3) It would reduce the depth of the interface (a global
  48.        interface goal) without reducing its functionality.
  49.  
  50.     4) It would eliminate the anomalous behavior of the
  51.        texture requestor, in that the USE TEXTURE button
  52.        bypasses the color requestor on the way out.  Although
  53.        this is the most useful and desirable behavior, it is
  54.        slightly jarring in that it breaks the hierarchy of the
  55.        requestor invocation path.  (ye gads!)
